Considering my topic for my blog is me, I wanted to show a few photos of who I am, what i love, and how I like to feel! My inspiration came from my experiences from my travels and how I wanted to share that with the viewers! I absolutely love to travel and explore. The two top photos and the bottom left are all photographs from one of my favorite places, Bali, Indonesia. I wanted to portray a visual of my love for exploring and adventuring.
I started by uploading these photos individually to edit them in photoshop. I added the black&white in the middle to make the other colors pop and make it a little more interesting to look at. The bottom right photo I used the ” spot healing brush” tool to take out some imperfections in the sand. I then used the layering techniques to put them all together. Finally, I used the marquee to create rectangles and a circle in the middle. After that I uploaded the photos and cropped them into their shapes.
The photo in the center, is just me. My good friend and I went out the other day and began shooting with nothing in mind other than to get a shot of me for this collage. This photo ended up being an accident and just so happened to be my favorite. A car was passing and I looked and laughed by how silly we probably looked standing in the middle of a public place taking photos. I like that it captured me just naturally smiling, something I try to do often! It gives a more genuine visual to who I really am.
The photos showing yoga poses is something I wanted to include because, yoga is a big part of my life. I love the benefits and freedom it provides me both mentally and physically. It’s a constant challenge and there is always more to explore and practice. I think it’s a great way to reflect and compare to “real life” because, life isn’t always easy and there is always a challenging situation at hand.
The photograph in the upper right corner looks like just another pretty picture, but to me it was such a nostalgic moment. It took about 40 minutes of climbing down steep and unleveled stone stairs to get there. It’s important to add that you can’t just go at any time of day. I went in the early afternoon when the tide was low, otherwise the rocks are filled with water. If you were to walk around the left rock and climb through a small whole in the rock it opens up into this beautiful beach area that is enclosed with tall rocks, about 100 feet high! You can only stay for a brief window, because when the tide rises, you won’t be able to get out. It was such a beautiful and exhilarating experience, one I will never forget!
I loved created this collage and I hope you all enjoy it!
